Dr Hay Smith is an experienced ophthalmic and cataract surgeon and specialism in retinal diseases and uveitis. Dr Hay Smith completed his training with a fellowship in medical retina at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and at the Western Eye Hospital (part of Imperial College), where he honed skills dealing with diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration, HIV ophthalmology and the medical and surgical management of complex tertiary Uveitis and associated cataract. He worked in a important UK hospital as well as private practice and has experience of all types of eye disease including those of children. He has run a diabetic eye clinic for more than 20 years. In addition to performing eye surgery, laser therapy, mainly for conditions of the retina, has been steady in his practice throughout his career. Dr pupal is a retinal specialist (vitreoretinal surgery and medical retina) with a special interest is macular diseases, particularly age related macular degeneration (AD). Dr pupal trained in London at leading teaching hospitals including the world renowned Moor fields Eye Hospital, where he undertook his ophthalmic registrar training. Thereafter he completed a retinal fellowship (vitreoretinal surgery and medical retina) at Sydney Eye Hospital and Sydney Hospital, developing an expertise in surgical and medical treatment of retinal disease and macular disorders. Peggy is Head of Practice within the Morton Eye Group and ensures the efficient running of the practice with the assistance of the valued administration team.
