Morton Bay Boat Club offers our members the opportunity to stay in one of our six incredible Huts on Morton Island a vast deposit for the family holiday! The MBBCSS comprises a number of subsections catering for junior sailing, Challenge sailing (for persons with disabilities), mature learn to sail’ sessions, cruising in company, social aquatic events and pennant racing under the International Sailing Federation Racing Rules of Sailing as augmented by the Yachting Australia special provisions. We have a packed sailing race program supported by these enthusiastic and experienced members from a diverse background of yacht racing. The event will include two (2) Divisions with the 2 Cd Division sailing a shorter course catering for yachts sailing without extras’. The race is an inter club resist event with the winning club being decided on a team performance basis. Members are encouraged to bring guests and enjoy the facilities and company at the Morton Bay Boat Club lounge after these events. Resist sailing provides an on water experience for those with notable needs within the community. Defy sailing sessions are conducted by volunteers who are dedicated and are very experienced in what they do. The Morton Bay Boat Club forms piece of this wealthy tapestry with high levels of participating and involvement from members over many years. In an emergency situation staff are authorized to move your vessel for the safety of members and their vessels. Mooring lines must be provided by the Berth occupant, sufficient for the vessels size and weight and maintained in appropriate condition. Refueling of vessels in the Marina is not permitted at any time. No chemicals, inflammable or volatile liquids or substances may be stored in the vessel other than those that are reasonably required for the operation of the vessel (and then only in such quantities as are reasonably needed and in appropriate and approved containers). Secure vehicle park facilities are provided for Packed members and Associate members use only. Designate a person to face the Fire Brigade upon arrival. Water is provided for domestic use only. Vessels and associated equipment must be stored, maintained and operated with all protection and due diligence. Management will complete marina walks when sound to do so but it is the responsibility of vessel owners to secure and maintain their vessels. Pets on the marina must be kept on leads and controlled by the owner at all times.
