Fifty years ago Grace Creche and Kindergarten was founded and grew into one of the largest and best equipped premature childhood centers in this State. Soon after Grace Lutheran Primary School was established, a trivial group of farsighted parents formed a public committee and began to labor toward the establishment of a lesser College. The group encountered many obstacles but eventually succeeded in getting the promote of the Lutheran Church and Peninsula community. Conditional approval to commence a Secondary Department was given in 1977, with packed encourage for a College on a divide site latter in 1979. Since then, there has been a rapid growth in numbers, facilities and courses offered. Each year another year smooth has been added, with the beginning Year 12s graduating in 2012 with excellent results. It provides an effective transition to secondary schooling with a powerful emphasis on pastoral care from core teachers, and diverse, engaging curricular experiences. Succeeding the example of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Handle and Outward Bound and drawing heavily on the experience of other Queensland Lutheran Schools, it was felt by staff at Grace College that students could benefit greatly from an extended, residential, out of the classroom experience. As time at the existing centers was limited, it was decided to pursue the possibility of another center. After many occupied bees and weekend visits, the used camp was transformed from a single men’s camp into a center capable of accommodating a coeducational group of up to 48 students. They were the hall, staff building, a fourth dormitory and a new dormitory fitted out for students with notable needs requirements. In addition, an additional male and female dormitory have been added to cater for the school’s amplify in size.

OUR COMMUNITY We value the partnerships we have with our Grace community. We foster everyone in our community to learn and serve according to The Grace Way’. Present students and children a holistic education where learning goes beyond the academic for us, education includes the social, physical and spiritual. Value service learning and often have both national and international service projects, where students learn how to serve others and contribute to community well being. Our colleges also own four Outdoor Education centers. Students will also have another scheduled Careers interview towards the last of Year 11 where they will be able to discuss their labor experience placement and any impact this may have made on their career goals. The Careers Team at Grace offers a number of services to assist parents guide their kid through this journey, including: Grace Lutheran College is committed to the spiritual, emotional and social development of all individuals in the Grace community. Grace staff and families encourage a group of students in Indonesia to aid further their studies. This year's theme, Join to Ignite, transcends being more than impartial a personal goal and reminder for me this year. The prime academic focus of Grace Lutheran College is to provide a place of learning and growth for the young people in its care. VET in school courses are available one day per week through cafe Colleges and private training providers. VET has helped me out so much because I was thinking of leaving school at the last of Year 10, I didn’t see the point of getting an OP when I did not need one. Grace has a number of events that students can participate in: The Ministry Team is responsible for fostering the spiritual life of students and staff at the College and for helping to enable students and staff to live life to the full. As healthy as ministry team staff leading chapel services, other staff and students have opportunities to lead. A large team of Middle School and Senior School girls run events and precede programmed that encourage the goals of Sisterhood. Service is the response of the child of God to God’s grace and goodness towards us. Service at Grace: our goal is to create a community where service is an integral piece of both curricular and co curricular programmed, where students and staff automatically think outwardly and consider service as both an essential quality but also as a cherished educational process. Our Registered Nurse is also involved in health promotion initiatives throughout the year delivering educational presentations to students. Currently we have two staff members working in the Health center at Roth healthy Campus. Community Service is included in a number of curriculum areas including Service trips to indigenous communities and Indonesia. I enjoy the teachers who foster you and who are passionate about what they teach. There is an emphasis on both active as part of a group and on understanding individual responsibility.
