Learn to dance from industry professionals jam provides dance tuition for 2yrs to adults in a variety of dance styles including jazz, musical theatre, lyrical, acrobatics, hip hop, ballet, tap, as well as examinations and competition teams. Tuition packages available for all ages. Our school promotes confidence and creativity in a disciplined yet fun environment.

Danica has been teaching and choreographing for dance schools in Queensland for the preceding 20 years. Michael is currently one of Queensland’s most in demand teachers and choreographers. He has been teaching for the final decade at considerable dance schools, fulltime performing arts schools, conventions and workshops. Jackie has taught and choreographed for considerable schools around Brisbane and has also been a part of the touring faculty over the last 7 years. Lee is elated to be a member of the JAM Performing Arts teaching staff, and to assist the students grow and achieve. She has trained for 17 years in various styles that include, jazz, classical ballet, contemporary, musical theater, tap and recently hip hop. Karla has developed a passion for teaching children dance and loves teaching the JAM littlies! Mandy has been involved in a number of productions including Clever Generation: state schools on stage’ as a featured dancer, The Trivial Mermaid’, Matilda the Musical’, and various concerts and eisteddfods. Mandy has completed her CST jazz, tap and classical examinations and also revived her teacher’s certificate in modern jazz. Mandy is currently studying at UT and continues her passion of teaching at JAM Performing Arts. She has also completed all of her CST Dance Exams and is very happy to be involved in the performing arts industry again. She has been busy on our Reception for over a year and loves it. Aliyah has attended JAM Performing Arts since it opened in 2007 and has competed at numerous eisteddfods with the team and completed abundant exam levels in all genres. This class has a similar format to the Clever Movement class though more formal dance’ steps are worked into the class and we now have the confidence to dance all on our own! Still latter our outline of story and theme based classes to remain to flourish the enjoyment and love of dance we introduce a more formal class learning traditional styles of ballet, jazz tap. Our maximum eager dancers that honest LOVE IT have the opportunity to attend twice per week from this age group! These classes are a more structured class for the little ones and are separated into specific class genres to benefit the maximum development from each style while calm encouraging lots of fun! An extension of the petite classes this age group also have separated specific classes for each style of dance, ensuring their focused technique development good for their age group. Class packages from 1 class per week to 7 classes per week means that at JAM we can cater to any dancer from fair for fun’ casual dancers to the most committed dancer in every class! For those that love to perform we also have divide eisteddfod and exam classes available for this age group. Class packages are from 1 class per week to 11 classes per week depending on the level of commitment, and can be tailored to each student. At JAM we foster all students to take ballet classes. Students are encouraged to attend all jazz classes. This class is for the maximum committed dancer.
