Dr mcgarvey is interested in women and children's health dr catherine mcgarvey is a general practitioner at lakelands medical, a busy 12 doctor general practice located in the heart of north lakes right beside the north lakes health precinct. There are also 5 psychologists, and visiting specialists who visit the practice . Right beside us there is also a pharmacy, hearing service, a dietician, radiology and pathology service and the new day hospital. The centre offers a complete medical service to all our patients including, skin checks, diabetic support, immunisations, health checks, and counselling.

The practice is committed to supporting further education and has been selected as one of the training practices for the following generation of general practitioners through the GP registrar program. One of these doctors work in our practice and behind 3 years of postgraduate training and exams will qualify as a GP specialist. Not only the doctors but all staff are committed to training and attending conferences and workshops to ensure that their skills are able to promote a practice committed to a very high standard of care. A standard length of consultation with your GP is 10 to 15 minutes. A lengthy consultation should be booked if your problem is complex or you have multiple issues to discuss. Please make bookings for each person wishing to consult the doctor at the time of booking. If the problem is an emergency or is imperative delight tell the receptionist at the time of phoning. The doctors know that other booked patients will grasp any unavoidable delays in appointment times due to emergency cases. Catherine is keenly interested in all aspects of GP work. Rebecca thoroughly enjoys spending her time off with her one-year-old in her time away from work. Grant joined us 2014 bringing new ideas and experience with his commitment to General Practice. He is especially interested in the health of young children. Grant brings a wealth of knowledge and experience both from his own children and his time in Pediatrics at Radcliffe Hospital. He is keen to have all children checked and immunized, and to promote parents thrive their knowledge and skills in managing their children’s asthma and other chronic health issues.
